Dr. Francisco Arriaga is a Professor and State Specialist with the Department of Soil and Environmental Sciences and the Division of Extension at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The overall goal of his research and extension programs is to develop soil conservation management strategies to improve soil health, water quality, and productivity of agricultural systems of the upper Midwest. Findings from his work are frequently used for outreach and extension activities. Prior to becoming a faculty member at UW-Madison, Francisco was a research soil scientist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service in the Southeastern US.
