Daniel H. Smith is the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension weed science outreach specialist. Daniel received B.S. degrees in Soil and Crop Science and Agribusiness from UW–Platteville in 2012 and an M.S. degree in Agroecology (weed science emphasis) from UW-Madison in 2016. Daniel is also Certified Crop Advisor. Daniel’s key statewide programming includes herbicide resistance and waterhemp management, education on emerging weed challenges, using cover crops to suppress weeds, and weed seed management.
