Chris Bandura is the Soils Program Manager at UW-Madison Division of Extension, Crops and Soils Program, which means he works with Extension Staff, UW-Madison State Specialists, and partners across the state to address the needs related to a variety of soil and nutrient management topics. Chris specializes in topics including soil fertility, soil health, and nutrient management. His current research and outreach programming is focused on soil health testing, nutrient removal in alfalfa systems, and nitrogen credits from legume cover crops ahead of corn grain. Prior to joining Extension, he spent several years managing an agronomy testing laboratory in Central Wisconsin. Chris earned a B.S. from UW-Stevens Point in Soil and Land Management, and an M.S. in Soil Science from UW-Madison, and is a member of the Wisconsin CCA Board.
