Arthur Franco is a 4th-generation family farmer from the countryside of Brazil, working with dairy and beef cattle. Having the opportunity to be raised by his grandparents gave him practical experience and a deep understanding of agricultural practices. Arthur holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Uberlândia, located in the Brazilian cheese state, and a Master's degree in Agronomy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (also in the cheese state!)

He is currently a Ph.D. student under Dr. Marta Kohmann. His research in Wisconsin focuses on rotational stocking in cool-season perennial pastures, carryover of corn residual herbicides on alfalfa establishment and production, and allelopathy of cover crops and their effects on corn grain and weed populations.
